The DVR light shows REC, but when we needed footage there was nothing. Why?
That is almost always power and wiring, not the camera — the recorder reboots on every cut, or the hard disk has quietly died while the light stays on. We check the supply, the earthing and the drive during a free on-site survey, then give a written itemised quote to fix it properly. An AMC after that means a dead camera or drive gets caught on a routine service visit, not on the day you actually need the footage.
