Butterfly Business Solutions, run by Vishal Patel, provides on-site CCTV and IT services across Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use our website or contact us, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have. We have written it in plain language so you can understand it without legal help.

Who we are

For the purposes of data protection, Butterfly Business Solutions is the business responsible for the personal data described here (in the language of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we are the "Data Fiduciary"; you are the "Data Principal"). Our working hours are Monday to Saturday, 10:00 am to 7:30 pm. We are registered under MSME / Udyam Registration No. UDYAM-GJ-12-0033037.

What information we collect

We only collect what we need to answer you and do the work you ask for:

• When you send an enquiry — through the contact form, WhatsApp or a phone call — we receive your name, phone number, email (if you give it), the location or area of your site, and the details of your requirement.
• When we plan or carry out work, we note the premises address, a contact person, and the equipment involved, so we can prepare a quote, schedule a site visit, and raise a proper, itemised bill.
• When you simply browse the website, basic technical information such as your approximate location (city level), device and browser type, and pages viewed is recorded by our analytics tools, as explained below.

We do not take card or online payments on this website, so we do not collect or store any card, UPI or bank details here. We also do not knowingly collect passwords, financial details or biometric information through the site. If a particular job ever needs access to your system passwords or network credentials, that is handled separately, on site, with your direct permission.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

We use your information to reply to your enquiry, prepare an itemised quotation, schedule a site survey or visit, carry out installation, repair, AMC or support work, issue proper bills and invoices, send service reminders, and meet our legal obligations. When you submit the form, message us on WhatsApp or call us, that is your consent for us to contact you about your enquiry. You can withdraw that consent at any time (see your rights below), and we will make withdrawing as easy as it was to give. We handle personal data in line with India's Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules, and we are aligning our practices with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 as it comes into force.

AI chat assistant on this website

Our website includes an AI chat assistant. When you type a question, your message is sent to our website infrastructure (hosted on Cloudflare), where an AI model generates the reply; conversations may be kept for a short time to prevent abuse and to improve answers. Please do not type passwords, OTPs, card or bank details, or other sensitive personal information into the chat. The assistant gives general guidance only — its answers are not a quotation or a professional recommendation; see our Disclaimer. When you send an enquiry through the website, we also receive an instant notification on our own phone so we can respond quickly.

Analytics, advertising and the tools we use

This website uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how many people visit and which pages they find useful, and a Google Ads conversion tag to measure whether our advertising is working (for example, whether a visit led to an enquiry or a call). These are provided by Google, may store information using cookies, and may process data on Google's servers outside India. Our WhatsApp chat button and click-to-call link hand you over to WhatsApp/Meta and your phone provider respectively, who then handle that interaction under their own terms. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data to anyone. We share it only where it is needed to serve you or where the law requires it:

• With our own technicians who attend your site.
• With equipment brands such as Hikvision, CP Plus, Dahua, D-Link or TP-Link, only when needed to process a warranty claim on your behalf.
• With the service providers that run our website and tools — Cloudflare (website hosting and content delivery), Microsoft 365 (our email), and Google (analytics and ads). Some of these may store data outside India under their own safeguards.
• Where we are legally required to, for example in response to a lawful order from a court or authority.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details only as long as needed to handle your request and our follow-up. Records connected to actual jobs, quotes, bills and AMC contracts are kept for the duration of the work and for the period the law requires us to keep business and tax records, after which they are deleted or anonymised. If you withdraw consent or ask us to delete your data and no law requires us to keep it, we will remove it.

How we protect it

We follow reasonable security practices to keep your information safe: the website is served over HTTPS, access to enquiry data is limited to the people who need it, and the third-party services we use maintain their own security controls. No method of transmission or storage is ever completely secure, but we take care to protect what you share with us.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

• Tell you what personal data of yours we hold and how we use it.
• Correct or update anything that is wrong or out of date.
• Delete your personal data, where we are not required by law to keep it.
• Withdraw a consent you previously gave.

You may also nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf if you are unable to. If you are not satisfied with how we handle a request, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India. To make any of these requests, just contact us using the details below.

Children

Our services are meant for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data of children. If you believe a child has shared information with us, please tell us and we will delete it.
